People say the reason why it was never brought over was because Nintendo still held the license for the English version of Tales of Phantasia in North America & Europe. So in January of 2014, Bandai Namco released a version of Tales of Phantasia for iOS in North America.

It was a port of the PlayStation 1 version. It added touch-screen controls, achievements, and leader boards. It also included voice-overs and improved animations. However, Bandai Namco took it down from the app store after a few months. They never gave a reason as to why they removed it. If I had to choose one for myself, though, I'd choose Tales of Phantasia X, but only if there were a full English translation for it.While some enjoyed the game, others were frustrated with its monetizing system. However, considering they're remakes, I would have to say go for one of these. Sorry, but I don't know enough about the PSP versions to be able to make a pros and cons list for them for this post. Runs at around 10-15FPS while the PS1 and SNES versions ran at 60.
